Patrol
OBJECTIVES
- To assist the police department
through observation.
- To help reduce crime in the
community
- To educate citizens on crime
prevention
- To increase public presence in
the residential and business areas
- To improve the quality of life
in the community
- To provide a safe, secure
environment for all the community
ELIGIBILITY
-
Participant
must be 21 years of age or older.
-
Participant
must either reside within the city limits of West
Columbia; or own a business within the city limits of
West Columbia.
-
Have the
ability to recognize, understand, and report
suspicious activity, and be skilled in communicating
effectively with individuals.
-
Ability to
write clear and concise reports.
-
Capable of
patrolling on foot or in a vehicle.
-
Provide own
transportation and proof of auto insurance.
-
Successfully
complete the training program provided by the West
Columbia Police Department.
-
Must be able
to pass a criminal history background check.
-
Must possess
a valid Class “C” Texas Driver License.
