The
American
Legion
grounds
are
a
great
place
to
host
your
company
picnic,
class
reunion,
or
have
a
large
family
barbecue.
Located
near
West
Columbia’s
downtown
area,
the
American
Legion
grounds
include
a
meeting
room
with
kitchen
and
restroom
facilities.
The
main
meeting
area
is
30’
x
60’
and
will
seat
up
to
140
people.
It
also
has
a
raised
stage.
The
grounds
also
include
the
Sands
Weems
Pavilion,
which
is
adjacent
to
the
building
connected
with
a
cover
walkway.
The
pavilion
has
a
stage
with
electrical
outlets
available
and
approximately
30
eight-foot
tables.
Additional
restroom
are
located
near
the
pavilion.
A
Larger
barbecue
pit
is
also
located
by
the
pavilion
and
ready
to
be
fired
up.
The
grounds
have
additional
outside
area
of
approximately
¼
acre.
The new Veterans' Memorial is also located adjacent to the facilities and is open to the public free of charge.

the
American

Grounds

dates
available

be
made

Columbia,

Rent
is
$150
per day
with
a
$200
deposit. Rent is due at the time of reservation to confirm your date.
Reservations
may
be
cancelled
up
to
72
hours
before
the
event
and
receive
a
full
refund. A Meeting Facilities Policy outlines specific details of
fees,
schedules,
security,
cleanup,
damages,
etc.
and
is
available
at
City
Hall.
